I am officially a college graduate. Maybe I should rephrase that... I am NO LONGER a student. Now, that sounds a little scary. The good Lord above has thrown me out into the real world. Thankfully, I know He's prepared me for this great adventure that is ahead of me. One little phrase that I keep in mind, "Trust and Obey." I've had such a great time celebrating my graduation. From the after party with homemade ice cream and boiled peanuts to the day spent in Clemson, I've had a ball. Here's a few pictures to show y'all so you can see just how much fun I've had.
The graduation party with the CHURCH PEW I got!
And a few from Clemson...
Today, I was thrown into the real world... my first day of substitute teaching. Thankfully, it was my class I had during internship. So, it was kind of like tip toeing into the shallow end of the pool. Anyways, I hope y'all had a wonderful weekend and marvelous Monday!
I'm loving that my parents got me tickets to see Little Big Town for a graduation present! However, the fact that it's tonight, and I'm not sure what I'm wearing yet is not so exciting.
I'm kinda loving that I'm graduating tomorrow. I am super excited to start this next phase of life as a teacher, but it is a little weird that adulthood is here.
Oh man am I loving this next thing! We are headed up to Clemson on Saturday for a baseball game! It's a graduation/Mother's day celebration! My mom and brother have never been to Clemson so the boyfriend and I are excited to show them around.
Last but not least, I am loving these cute summer clothes. If only I can get a tan to go along with these clothes.
I know it's been a while, but I have a great excuse! I was student teaching. I had all the best intentions of blogging during my internship, but let's face it... it's a lot of work. To have the job of a teacher and all the paperwork of a student took priority over my blogging. However, like Uncle Si would say, "I'm back, Jack!"
I had an incredible experience this semester, and I know that this is what God created me to do. I absolutely love the classroom and fell in love with my 4K babies. Yes, I did cry on my last day. I can't believe how quickly the time went by. Next week I'll be graduating and hopefully having a classroom of my own. Until then, I'll remember all the amazing times I had in the crazy world of 4K.
As you can tell, I was showered with gifts when I left. I had so much fun that those early mornings didn't even matter. Graduation, here I come!
I guess it's officially here since I got a good helping of black eyed peas, greens, and corn bread today. (Props to Mama for an awesome meal.) This year is gonna be HUGE. I really can't believe that all these changes are about to take place in my life, but I am so excited to see what God has in store for me.
Next week I officially begin student teaching. Did I just say that?!? I'm so pumped to be able to spend the day with my 4K classroom. However, rude awakening... 5am 5 days a week is gonna really kick my butt.
I graduate in May. I repeat. I will be a college graduate in May of THIS YEAR. Wow.
I'm pretty sure that God is leading me to begin my Master's work after graduation. Challenging, but something I want to get done before I decided to have children.
I will officially begin a teaching job wherever God sees fit for me. I plan to teach preschool while getting my Master's, and then teach public after I am finished. We shall see.
My baby brother will be turning 16 this year. Where does the time go? A junior in high school... seriously?
Benji's sister will be having a baby in July. Also my birthday month. Lots of excitement there! I can't wait to see this baby grow up!
I feel confident that this is the year that all of my sweet boyfriend's hard work will finally pay off!
As if you can't tell, I am anticipating the best for 2013. I'm up for any surprises God wants to throw my way. Most of all, I want to draw closer to God this year than ever before. I want to show Him how thankful I am for all the blessings in my life.
